Are you coming to Edmonton for medical care? Contact us today.

Medical travel can be difficult. Goba offers support and navigation for northerners receiving care in Alberta.

To the K'asho Got'ine Dene, goba means light on the horizon. Serving as a light that helps guide through new places, services, and cultural differences, Goba provides individuals, families, and communities with the support they need at a crucial time in their healthcare journeys.

I am Melinda Laboucan, K’asho Got’ine First Nation from Fort Good Hope, Northwest Territories.

My “why” is found in the medical travel and healthcare experiences of my late mother and sister. Walking alongside them and many other community members since has taught me how to advocate, how to support patients, and how to heal from grief.

Will you partner with us?

Goba is a non-profit organization. Each grant and donation helps fund our work to support clients from the north on their medical journeys in Edmonton. We thank you for working together with us to make this happen.

"I have worked with Melinda and have seen how effective she is with NWT patients seeking medical services in southern Canada. She is compassionate, smart, and effective, which is just what patients need when they are unfamiliar with the health system."

— LOIS LITTLE, Social justice advocate, Yellowknife, NWT

Let Goba take the stress out of the medical travel experience so you can meet your health and wellness goals.
